Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile

Sainsbury

The Croxteth Country Park Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile is now sold out - there are no more places for runners.

Just Announced - the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile comes to Myerscough College Croxteth Country Fair.

Myerscough College and Croxteth Hall and Country Park have joined together to bring the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile to Liverpool on Saturday 15th July at Croxteth Hall and Country Park. It will be a fun packed family day with a host entertainment and family fun.

Sainsbury's Sport Relief miles will start at 11.00am, 12.00 noon, 1.00pm and 2.00pm. Liverpool Lord Mayor, the Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor Councillor Joan Lang has kindly agreed to get the day off to a great start by acting as starter for the first mile.

This event is one of hundreds taking part around the country on Sports Relief Saturday. Milers will be putting their best foot forward at events across 15 major cities and many more locally organised sites.

Complete your mile and then treat yourself to a day of countryside demonstrations such as gamekeeping, gardening, tree work, floristry and small animal care by Myerscough College, Glendale and Green Apprentices Ltd. There are also lots of family activities and entertainment including Liverpool Community Games promotion (try your hand at different sports activities), European and local performers for young children, a small funfair and horse drawn bus rides.

Don't worry if you can't make it on Saturday - the Country Fair fun and entertainment carries on all day Sunday (16 July) as well from 11.00am until 5.00pm. Further details.

Admission to the showground and car parking is free.

Sports Relief is an initiative of Comic Relief, registered charity 326568, in association with BBC Sport.
