Croxteth gains VAQAS accreditation
VAQAS is the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme. It is VisitEngland's quality assessment service for all types of visitor attractions throughout England.
All areas of an attraction that impact on the quality of the visitor experience are included in the assessment, ranging from the initial enquiry through to the departure. The service does not attempt to grade attractions but assesses each on its own merits using objective quality benchmarks, provided by the industry.
The assessment takes the form of an annual visit at any time when the attraction is open to the public, along with a feedback report. The visit, by an experienced, trained quality assurance assessor, is unannounced, although one key contact at the attraction will be advised beforehand.
Our feedback report from the VisitEngland assessor this year highlighted the variety of experiences on offer at Croxteth, appealing to a wide range of visitor.
"There is something for everyone here - Liverpool is fortunate to have so substantial a leisure resource. There is such a breadth of offering at Croxteth that everyone should find something to interest and amuse themselves. The Walled Garden must be amongst the best in the region. The Hall experience is substantial . . . The Home Farm is great fun and a children's favourite.Croxteth is a great facility for lucky Liverpudlians!Croxteth Hall and Country Park provides an overall very good standard of visitor experience and amply merits the continued VisitEngland accreditation as a 'Quality Assured Visitor Attraction'.
This assessment confirms that the attraction amply merits the continued accreditation of 'Quality Assured Visitor Attraction'."
The General Manager at Croxteth enjoyed collecting the award in our own Victorian Walled Garden.
