Lord Sefton's Teddy Bear Hunt

Teddy bears picnic on the lawns at Croxteth Hall

Saturday 18 July sees the return of the annual Lord Sefton's Teddy Bear Hunt inside Croxteth Hall.

Count all the Teddy Bears in the rooms of Croxteth Hall - some of which are hidden in hard to spot and unusual places. Complete the simple entry form and all correct entries will be entered into a prize draw. Two lucky winners will win a 'Build-a-Bear' prize kindly donated by Vauxhall Children's Centre.

Lord Sefton's Teddy Bear Hunt is an innovative, educational and numerical fun event aimed at young families, keeping the youngsters engaged and amused as you visit the Hall this summer. It runs from Saturday 18 July daily right through the school summer holidays until 6 September 2009. Young children and families love this fun annual event, which grows in popularity each year.

This year, in Liverpool's 'Year of the Environment', many of the Teddy Bears hiding among the rooms in the Hall have been kindly 'recycled' from families of Liverpool's Vauxhall Children's Centre, so many thanks to them for providing us with the teddys.

On summer days, why not bring your own Teddy Bears (mums and dads too - admit it you all have one!!) and a healthy picnic lunch to enjoy on the beautiful lawns around Croxteth Hall. Families and teddys will enjoy looking further afield - with attractions such as the peaceful, colourful Walled Garden, Home Farm with its rare breed animals, Jungle Parc for the more adventurous, the Old Riding School Cafe for light refreshments, the two adventure playgrounds and don't forget we have miles of well surfaced paths and rustic woodland tracks just waiting to be explored.

Normal Hall admission prices apply (adults £2.60, children £1.80. Children under 3 enter free of charge). Discount tickets for families visiting Hall, Farm and Garden are also available.
