Aintree Diabetes 10K Run
In conjunction with Aintree University Hospitals and the University of Liverpool, on Sunday 22 March 2009 the Aintree Diabetes 10k run took place around an accurately measured, flat 10k course around the countryside that is Croxteth Country Park.
The race went really well, with 73 pre-race entries and another 50 plus on the day so the charity were really pleased. There was a lot of positive feedback from the competitors after the event, so much so that the charity may look towards making it an annual event.
The race was won by Dave Edwards (Liverpool Running Club) in 36.37, 2nd place was Daniel Clarke (Fife AC) in 37.21 and coming in 3rd was Ben Obong (u/a) 38.38. The 1st Lady to finish was Natalie Palin (LRC) in 39.44.
