Heritage Open Day

Top of main staircase at Croxteth Hall

Croxteth Hall is to open its doors to visitors free of charge as part of the Civic Trust's national Heritage Open Day Scheme.

If you have ever wondered what life would have been like living as a Lord or Lady, or maybe how hard the servants had to work, why not take the opportunity on Sunday September 14 to come and have a look round the Hall free of charge.

Our costumed Heritage Guides will be on hand with snippets of fascinating information about the Sefton family and servants who lived and worked here in Edwardian times at Croxteth. So many people were 'in service' in those days that we get frequent visitors with family links to people who worked here. We are always interested to hear of any family links to Croxteth.

Our Events Pages have more information about the Civic Trust Heritage Open Days and other places which are open under the scheme.
