Hi-Tech maintenance

Workmen reach the highest part of Croxteth Hall easily

Old gutters, downspouts, rain water hoppers and drains high in the rooftops of Croxteth Hall have struggled to cope with the extremely heavy downpours we have had recently.

A maintenance programme cleaning out accumulated leaves, bird nesting material and general rubbish from all the rooftop gutters, rain water hoppers and downspouts was made so much easier with the arival of the huge 'Bronto Skylift' crane! Without this hi-tech piece of equipment, the only other way to reach many of the roof tops here at Croxteth would have been to build scaffolding up round the outside of the Hall - a very time consuming job.

Luckily the workmen had a good head for heights as the crane operator took them up to the rooftops - and on occasion even right over the top to the far side of the roof giving good access to almost all areas of the Hall's roof-tops. At its fullest extent, the huge arm can reach 62 metres!!

Making sure all the rain-water is effectively removed from the rooftops will help protect Croxteth Hall through the winter months.
