Easier access to upstairs rooms in Hall
Plans have been agreed to install a lift to make access to the upstairs display and meeting rooms of Croxteth Hall much easier for all.
Finding a route in the historic building for a new lift has not been easy, but architects have drawn up plans which will intgrate a new lift into part of the old bagage lift shaft at the Hall, giving access to upper floors.
Rooms on the first floor are set out as the 6th Earl of Sefton would have known them, from the Edwardian heyday of Croxteth Hall.
Conference delegates will have access to upstairs meeting rooms, including the impressive oak panelled Old Dining Room.
Construction work is expected to start early in the new year (2006)
