Merseyside Schools Cross Country Race
Teams from schools all over Merseyside will be competing in cross country races through our park land.

Wonderful West Derby
Get active and enjoy an informative journey with a Ranger around the West Derby area.  Improve your wellbeing for World Mental Health Day. Meet at the Croxteth Country Park gates by the memorial, West Derby Village.

His Lordship's Garden
Meet his Lordship and George the Victorian gardener at the splendid Walled Garden at Croxteth Hall and learn some gardening techniques of bygone days.  Please call 0151 233 6930 to book for this event.  Small admission charge payable. Meet outside the Hall Gift Shop.

Spooky Days
10.30 - 4.00pm daily (last admission 3.30pm)
Find all the ghosts lurking around the spooky mansion! Some may be very well hidden. Mums and Dads can help complete the creepy quiz and all correct entries will be entered into a very special prize draw. Kindly sponsored by the Echo Arena, the winner, drawn from all the correct entries, will win a family ticket to admit up to 4 people in total to 'Disney on Ice' presents 'Princess Wishes' at the Echo Arena, 7pm on the night of Thursday 26 November. There is no increase to normal hall amission prices for this popular children's event. Take a look at one of our more famous 'ghost sightings' courtesy of Sky News.

Scary Nights - the VAMPIRE VAULT at CROXTETH HALL

Venture into a long forgotten 'wing' of old Croxteth hall, and into the candlelit lair of 'Count Sefton'! Explore never before seen rooms and passageways as you follow in the footsteps of an unwary Conservationist into the Vampire Vaults . . . who knows what lurks in the darkness waiting to be discovered . . .

Vampire Vault will open on several nights during 2009 beginning at 5.00pm on Tuesday 20 October 2009.  There is a timed entry system with entries every 15 minutes. Please arrive at your allocated ticket entry time. The experience lasts around 35-45 minutes.

Vampire Vault is intended for children aged 10 and over, although younger children will be admitted with parental guidance.  The attraction includes darkness, loud noises, strobe lighting, live actors and tactile effects which are intended to scare you.

Adult Entry £8.00, Concessions £6.50. Please contact Croxteth Hall to book tickets by calling the Box Office on 0151 233 6930. Credit and debit cards are accepted, a small postal charge applies.

VOLUNTEER ACTORS
We are seeking a creepy cast of amateur and professional performers to star in 'Vampire Vault'. If you are interested, have some experience and are available on the above two nights, send an email with your details and a brief resume of your acting to date to info@atmosfearuk.com. Roles are voluntary for the two nights (with a possibility of a third night), and have proved to be great fun!

AtmosFEAR produced the Phantom Feast at Croxteth Hall last year - could you have braved dining with the Count?

Autumn Half Term
Spooky Horse Drawn Bus and Donkey Rides
Wheelers horse drawn bus rides will be 'spooky themed' during the half-term break. A small charge is payable.

Make a Difference Day
10.30am
Join us in Croxteth Local Nature Reserve for a morning of practical conservation work as we do our bit for 'Make a Difference day' - a national day of activity encouraging people to get out and make a difference to their local environment.
Meet at the Old Riding School Café entrance, next to Croxteth Hall.
The day is free to all.

Half Term at Home Farm
Croxteth's Home Farm will be open during half term - a great place to come and meet our rare breed farm animals.

Learning is fun! - The Liverpool Astronomical Society (Registered Charity) presents
A LIVERPOOL STAR PARTY
7.30pm - 9.30pm
A weekend of Astronomy at Croxteth Hall.
There will be telescopes to look through, entertaining and informative talks, things to do and things to see as well as plenty of people to give advice on getting involved in the fascinating science of Astronomy.

Adults £1.00,  children under 16 free. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Please use the free conference car park off Croxteth Hall Lane (signed disabled parking and Service Entrance).

The Haunted Truth
9.00pm - 3.00am The Haunted Truth at Croxteth Hall
For many years it has been rumoured that Croxteth Hall is haunted by several ghosts! Become a paranormal investigator for the night alongside the UK Haunted Team plus special guest.

This year could be even more interesting than most following strange events captured on camera earlier this year!!

The event is now in its fifth year, attracting visitors from all around the UK. To encourage a more local audience during our Year of Environment we are offering a special early booking price of £79.00. To take advantage of this offer, please book early to avoid disappointment as a very limited number of tickets are available. Call 07505 958 853 for further details and booking.

  • Wednesdays 7, 14, 21 and 28 October, 1.30pm Walk for Health - enjoy a healthy walk through the park
  • Thursdays 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 October, 6.00pm Walk for Health - enjoy an evening healthy walk around the park  
  • Tuesdays 6, 13, 20 and 27 October, 10.00am Cycle for Health - booking essential.         

New for this year - FREE 3 month gym passes now available in conjuction with our Walk for Health walks.
To obtain your free gym pass ask your Walk Leader for a 'Passport to the Gym' card. Simply collect a stamp after each walk from your Walk Leader and when you've collected 5 stamps you're eligible for a 3 month pass at a Lifestyles Gym. For more information see your Walk Leader or contact the Walk for Health Office.
