'Learning is Fun at Croxteth Hall'
While looking around the Hall display rooms, enjoy a family quiz to keep children young and old amused and stimulate the mind. No booking required, simply pick up a quiz sheet when you purchase your Hall entry ticket from the Hall Gift Shop. Jungle Parc have kindly donated a Family Voucher worth £65.00 as a prize for this competiotion. The first correct entry drawn at random on Monday 23 May will win the voucher for a family (2 adults and 2 children) to experience a fantastic 'tree-top adventure'.

The Pramathon, now in its 3rd year, as well as being a fun social event, encourages new parents to get active with their children and enjoy the great outdoors. Sunday 22 May 2011 Croxteth Country Park & Wonderful West Derby

Get active and enjoy an informative historical journey around Croxteth Country Park and West Derby Village on this four hour walk. Starting with a walk around the outside of the Hall looking at the different periods of architecture and the history of the Molyneux family, we will take in the Walled Garden with its historic fruit trees, flue walls and colourful borders, the fascinating ice house and surrounding woodland, and then take a gentle walk through the more open agricultural land finally ending in West Derby Village to hear about its long and wonderful history from 1066 to the modern day.
Tickets (£8.00) are available in advance from the gift shop at Croxteth Country Park (can be booked in advance by calling 0151 233 6930). Meet at the Gift Shop at Croxteth Hall.

Fieldfare Kielder Challenge (Regional Heat)
For many years Croxteth Country Park have been delighted to hold one of the many regional heats of the Kielder Challenge, giving the opportunity for young people with and without disabilities to come together through fun, competition and learning in the widest sense, in ways many may not have previously had the chance to share in. The Molyneux children who live in the Hall have lost their favourite toys. Can you help find them and write down the name of the room in which they are hidden? A worksheet is provided free of charge with each child's Hall admission ticket purchased (normal Hall admission prices apply). This event is part of National Family Week (30 May to 5 June)

Nostalgic fun for younger children next to the adventure playground area. On some days we will also be visited by our local Horse Drawn Carriage for family rides around the Hall. Small charges apply.

'Breast, Bowel and Lung Cancer Health Awareness'
Liverpool PCT are taking a branded inflatable sofa on a two-month long tour of Liverpool, accompanied by a friendly and approachable healthcare professional (which will be either a doctor or a clinician), who will talk to members of the public about the three cancers, their symptoms and what to do.
The aim of this activity is to encourage initial conversations about cancer, provide advice and instil confidence to visit a GP to raise any concerns.
Look out for the sofa near the Gift Shop at the front of the Hall (or small covered marquee if poor weather). Pop in for some free, friendly advice if you have any worries, or just want to find out a little bit more. Remember early detection of any cancer can lead to a better chance of treatment.

To obtain your free gym pass ask your Walk Leader for a 'Passport to the Gym' card. Simply collect a stamp after each walk from your Walk Leader and when you've collected 5 stamps you're eligible for a 3 month pass at a Lifestyles Gym.
