Key Stage 2

School children listen to a Heritage guideA 'trip out' is a great educational experience in itself, comparing the normal school environment with somewhere new. The excitement generated creates a lasting memory, which can stimulate all sorts of positive learning outcomes. 

Guided Visits.
The Ranger Interpretation Team (RIS), our Heritage Volunteers or Farm Rangers can be booked (depending on availability) to lead your visit and help your class get the best learning experience from their trip out to Croxteth. By their very nature, most of the topics we offer are cross-curricular, covering many facets of the curriculum. Please follow the links below to view the range of topics on offer (all designed for KS2) in Hall, Farm, Walled Garden and Park. 

Guided visits in the Hall include; Upstairs Downstairs, Hands on History, customised role plays and Storytelling.

Guided visits in the Farm include; Home Farm Helpers and Why Farm?

Guided visits in the Walled Garden include; Up the Garden Path

Guided visits in the Country Park include; Minibeast Detectives, Introducing Habitats and River Alt Studies.

Don't forget our acclaimed 'Victorian Christmas' visit - with bookings being taken frm the beginning of the winter term. More details will be added nearer the time.
