Key Stage 1

Spring wakes up the garden - with a little help!We offer a wide range of education topics suitable for Key Stage 1 pupils.

At this age, a 'trip out' for children is a great educational experience in itself, comparing the normal school environment with somewhere new. The excitement generated creates a lasting memory, which can stimulate all sorts of positive learning outcomes.

Guided Visits.
The Ranger Interpretation Team (RIS), our Heritage Volunteers or Farm Rangers can be booked (depending on availability) to lead your visit and help your class get the best learning experience from their trip out to Croxteth. Please follow the links below to view the range of topics on offer (all designed for KS1) in each.

Guided visits in the Hall include; Upstairs Downstairs, Hands on History, customised role plays and Storytelling.

Guided visits in the Farm include; Home Farm Helpers and Storytelling

Guided visits in the Walled Garden include; See my Garden Grow and Storytelling

Guided visits in the Country Park include; Minibeast Explorers, Four Seasons Trail and Storytelling.

Seasonal Specials in the Walled Garden include Spring Awake! and Harvest Helpers.

Self guided visit
Why not make the most of your time at Croxteth. Enjoy a morning or afternoon session led by one of our staff or Heritage Volunteers, then explore another area of the hall, park, farm or garden self led. We have lots of resources to help you and your pupils make the most of your visit.
