Harvest Helpers
Available; 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17 and 18 September 2008.
Duration: 2 hours from 10.00am - 12.00 noon or 1.00pm - 3.00pm
Charge: £4.65 per child. Minimum charge: £116.25 per group
A companion visit to Spring Awake! The emphasis is on autumn and harvesting. The cycle of growing, harvesting, buying/selling, consuming and recycling is illustrated on a guided tour around the garden with 'Gardener Grub' and his assistant 'Dib'.
The children assist Gardener Grub and Dib to find and harvest fruit, flowers and vegetables. When everything is collected a delivery is made to 'Marrow's Garden Shop'. Children then act out the roles of shop staff and shoppers. Bring some carrier bags to take away your shopping!
