Volunteer Heritage Guides
Costumed Heritage Guides are available in the rooms of the Hall each Wednesday afternoon. They will enhance your self guided visit and have a great fund of knowledge about the history of the Molyneux family (Earls of Sefton) and Croxteth Hall.

Tudor Courthouse
The Old Courthouse in West Derby Village - the courthouse has changed little since Tudor times and is now open to the public on Sundays in the summer and for school groups by arrangement - contact us for details.

Maps
A simple map/aerial photograph (PDF [109.1Kb] opens in new window) is available to help you plan your visit, or to use if planning a walk or other activities in the park. Map 50p

Games Box - Play Equipment for the Lawns
Use the park to promote healthy living - take a break and make use of our Games Box while you are on your visit (parachute, balls, hoops, etc available). Use of the Games Box is free but you must book it in advance.

Clipboards
Set of 30 for £5.00 refundable deposit when visiting (please book in advance).

Coats, bags and lunches storage
Coats, bags and lunches may be left (at owners' risk) in the designated areas, though space for this may be limited on busy days. You might like to consider using carrier bags and disposable plastic drinks bottles for lunches.

Toilets
Our toilets, including disabled and baby change facilities, are next to the Old Riding School Café, close to the Hall. More toilets are available on the farm. Additional hand-washing sinks are in the farm shop. Hand cleansing gel dispensers are also available next to the farm shop.

Lift for disabled access
A lift allows wheelchair access to the first floor Hall exhibition rooms.

Picnics
Picnic tables are provided in the grounds or you may prefer to picnic on the lawns. The tables are by the adventure playground and at the far side of the front lawn. Please do not eat inside the Hall, Farm or Walled Garden other than in designated areas.

Walled Garden Picnic Area
The area of lawns inside the Walled Garden is a great space for groups to picnic or use. They are ideal for a peaceful lunch, storytelling, etc (not suitable for active games). We have a limited number of foam mats available for classes to borrow from the Garden shop entrance (please book in advance). These lawns are only available for groups that have Garden or Saver tickets.

Lunch Rooms
In wet weather, limited indoor space is available in the Hall or Farm - please let us know if you may require these on the booking form. We will do our best to accomodate you, but space cannot be guaranteed.

Activity Rooms
We have classroom space available in the Hall and Farm - see the Hall and Farm sections for more information.
