Come and visit Croxteth Hall - history brought to life!
You will experience life 'Upstairs and Downstairs' in a large Country House in late Victorian and early Edwardian times.
Costumed figures in the rooms 'speak' as you go around, so you can listen to conversations of a century ago!
Our figures, sounds and even smells in the rooms help children to imagine life at Croxteth a century ago. On Wednesday afternoons our friendly Croxteth Heritage Volunteers provide knowledge on all aspects of the Hall and the Molyneux family (highly recommended).
The Hall provides a great venue for teaching about how some homes were a long time ago. The kitchens, bedrooms and living areas of the Earl and his servants can be used to draw a direct comparison with children's own homes. The costumed figures help show differences in clothing and lifestyle.
