Country Park - a fascinating place to explore

Self-Guided
Space to walk or run about - let off steam on the lawns or use the Play area designed for younger children. The wide open spaces of the lawns give freedom to run and play games but the park is also a great place to appreciate the seasons - a leaf kicking autumn walk, a colourful spring flowers visit, frost on the leaves in winter or 'take in the view' sitting in the cool shade of a tree in summer.
Enhance your visit by using our free Games box to promote active fun (must be booked in advance).

There are lots of resources available to help you plan your visit to the Park. A Croxteth Risk Assessment (PDF [28Kb] opens in new window) covering all Country Park based school visits is available.

A version of this visit is also available for the Walled Garden.

There's a Bear - Where?
A new adventure based on a well known story about a hunt for a bear. Visit the Country Park (or the Walled Garden) and follow a treasure hunt type trail through the woods to find the missing bear.
