Croxteth Hall - is a huge house to explore

main staircaseSelf-Guided
The Hall is very impressive building and gives a great opportunity to appreciate the contrast between familiar surroundings and a new environment. Past and present, alive and not alive, real and unreal, scale and size topics can be developed or introduced. There are lots of resources available to help you plan your visit to the Hall.

Teacher led
The Hall provides a good venue for teaching about how some homes were a long time ago - the kitchens, bedrooms etc can be used to draw a historical comparison with children's own homes. The costumed figures help show differences in clothing and lifestyle.
